You’re gonna look at the ingredients of this and be like “Ok, she’s lost the plot”. But i NEED you to trust me on this. This is the most warming, hot and sweet bowl of porridge you’ll have. I admit looking at the ingredients you would think more “indian” than breakfast, but it just works so well taste-wise. Health wise though, it reaches another level. Turmeric is one of the worlds oldest and magical natural ingredients, being used in medicine for thousands of years, being anti-tumour, anti-fungal and immune-boosting. Then you have ginger, which is a natural antibiotic, anti-emmetic and anti-inflammatory. Aside from the health benefits of black pepper, it is included because, and many people don’t know this, but the active ingredient which makes turmeric so powerful (curcumin) becomes more bioavailable only in the presence of pepper. Cinnamon gives it a subtle lean towards the sweeter side, which is tipped over by honey (or maple syrup).
This is one of the best breakfasts you can eat if you’re feeling susceptible to a cold, have a low immune system or have gone through a period of indulgence (*cough cough i think we all have these days!). Its also good on just any day, whatever you’re feeling, because its just great. Mormor, this ones for you 😉
